In common with much of France, the people of the Pyrenees have a deep love of cycling which manifests itself in a host of ways – an encouraging “Bon Courage” as you slog up a killer climb, the willingness of café owners to top up your water bottles and a level of respect from other road users that it would be hard to match anywhere else.
