PyrActif is based in  Ferme de Velo, an authentic French farmhouse built around 1877. With natural stone walls half a meter thick, the house stays cool in the summer and retains the warmth of our open fire in the cooler months.

PyrActif founders, Steve and Brenda came to this area in 1994 and restored the building to enhance its natural rustic character. The accommodation has been designed to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing stay in a homely atmosphere.

In the summer, spend your evening chilling out in the garden, practicing your skills at the ancient French art of 'petanque' (boules), or relaxing in the outdoor hot-tub. For those who prefer, we have a large stock of books, board games and cycling magazines as well as access to UK TV channels. And for the most energetic, we have a full-size table tennis table or can mark out a temporary badminton court!

Alternatively, you can sample the quiet local bars and restaurants just a couple of kilometres away in the neighbouring village of Loures Barrousse. Loures also has a range of local shops and a well-stocked supermarket.

Group size: we can cater for most sizes of group (either wholly in the house or in partnership with a neighbouring B&B for larger bookings). Sometimes 2 or 3 smaller groups might share the house for a week / weekend. Single bookings are welcome to join in any of our groups, albeit if your booking takes us to full capacity we may ask you to share a room.

Catering:

Most of our guests choose to stay on a half-board basis. Our meals are varied, balanced and carbohydrate-based, providing hearty portions with a hint of French regional flair. All evening meals are served with table wine and water.
Vegetarian meals can be provided on request, but please notify us of your requirements when you complete your holiday booking form.
Chef (Helen) has two nights off each week (Tuesday & Friday) which gives you the chance to sample some of our delightful local restaurants. Wherever practical, we'll transport you to / from your restaurant on those evenings.
