Free airport transfer from Toulouse
For Bertren-based holidays we offer free airport transfer on Saturdays for arrivals up to 5.15 p.m. We'll also drop you back to Toulouse airport for Saturday departures after 9 a.m. (We can sometimes offer flexibility around these timings, arrival day or airport, but this does depend on our riding/guiding commitments to other customers. Please contact us to check if you're planning flights outside of those mentioned).
If you find you cannot arrange a flight to coincide with our free airport transfer then don't worry, there are excellent rail connections from Toulouse and Pau to our local train station, Montrejeau. A 20min bus shuttle or taxi ride from your airport terminal to the appropriate train station puts you en route to reach Montrejeau within another hour or so. We will pick you up from Montrejeau and transfer you to our base at Bertren which is only 10-15 minutes away.
Another option is to arrive on Friday and stay in a hotel near the airport so you're handily placed for the Saturday pick-up. (For hotel options see 'Arriving Friday' section below). Car rental is another easy option from any of the airports.

Reaching us by road - European Bike Express coaches
If you're not a keen flyer or if the main UK airports connecting to South-West France aren't convenient for you, then why not consider the European Bike Express coach option? With pick-up points along the M1 and M62 motorways, luxuriously appointed coaches, on-board entertainment system and top-of-the-range bike trailers, EBE can provide an attractive alternative to the budget airlines. Drop-off in Bayonne (only 10km from Biarritz) and a return journey from Perpignan is an excellent option for riders on our Coast-to-Coast trip. Alternative drop-offs in Lourdes and Toulouse are ideal for our Bertren-based rides or for the Etape (or an Etape recce).

Arriving in Toulouse on a Friday (or departing on a Sunday)
This option gives you the opportunity to explore Toulouse if a Saturday flight arrival from your nearest airport wouldn't coincide with our free airport pick-up.
Hotels are close to the airport and normally provide a free shuttle bus service to / from the airport terminal.
There is also a regular bus service (3 departures per hour) taking you on a 20-minute journey from the airport terminal to the centre of Toulouse.

Taxis
Can be arranged to carry 1-8 passengers from Toulouse airport to Bertren. Prices start at around 180€ each way.
Trains
A Eurostar/ TGV service can be taken from Waterloo or Paris to Toulouse. This can be a good option for those not comfortable with flying or driving. For details, try the French national rail website:
